Current Office Operations

NOTICE: Effective 1/1/2023- Increase for ACT 119 (Jen & Dave Program Fee). Please view the updated fee schedule for these changes. 

Normal Hours of Operation

Our office is open to the public during normal business hours, M-F, 8:30AM-4:30PM. We no longer accept filings and/or copy requests requiring payment after 4:15PM. While we are open to accept filings, we encourage the mailing and e-filing of eligible documents.

Passport Services

Passport services are available by appointment only. Passport photos can be taken at our office. 

Extended Passport hours are available on Wednesdays from 4:00PM-6:00PM, by appointment only. Walk-Ins will be turned away during extended hours.

Fingerprinting for Name Change Petitions

The Sheriff’s Department requires appointments for fingerprinting for name change petitions. Please call 610-344-6984 to make an appointment.

    ChescoPIN is a paid subscription service that provides access to docket entries. ChescoPIN may be accessed at no charge in the Prothonotary's Office or at Chester County libraries.
