A Veteran who served 90 days on active duty with one day during war time
discharged under other than dishonorable conditions
Is 65 or older or is permanently or totally disabled or is a patient in a nursing home or is receiving Social Security disability benefits
has a financial need without significant net worth may be eligible for a non service-connected pension. In 2014 the minimum amount paid for a veteran with no dependents was $1,054 per month and the maximum for a veteran needing regular aid and attendance with one dependent was $2,085.
