Chester County Law enforcement has seen too many cases where domestic violence accelerates into murder. In the 12 month period ending on June 30, Chester County law enforcement has conducted 329 LAP screenings.
Chester County District Attorney Tom Hogan announced the arrest of attorney Joshua Janis on charges that he defrauded over 25 clients. From 2013-2015, the defendant worked for a law firm in West Chester. From 2013-2015, he worked for his own law firm.
On May 23, 2018, three Pennsylvania State Troopers discharged their firearms in the line of duty. Nobody was struck and nobody was injured. According to DAO policy, such a discharge of firearms triggers an investigation led by an independent agency.
The DA's Office announced the arrest of defendant Anthony Rife, the branch manager of DNB and a Parkesburg Boro Council member, for embezzling over $100,000 from bank clients. The embezzlement included accounts for a special needs person and a dead man.
