[ARCHIVED] Commissioners Invite Applications for Chester Water Authority Board Position


The Chester County Commissioners are accepting applications from qualified residents for one of three positions representing Chester County on the Chester Water Authority (CWA) Board.  

Chester County residents who qualify for the CWA Board must be over 18 years of age and live or own a business in Chester County, specifically within the Chester Water Authority service area.  

Qualified individuals are asked to submit a resume and cover letter by Monday, February 24, 2020 explaining why they are interested in serving on the Board, and how they are qualified. Applications should be sent to Deb Leach, Chester County Commissioners’ Office via email or mailed to 313 W. Market Street, Suite 6202, West Chester, PA 19380.  

The Chester Water Authority provides water to more than 200,000 households and businesses some of which are located within southern Chester County. The Chester County Commissioners are tasked with appointing three Chester County citizens as representatives on the nine-member Chester Water Authority Board. The vacant board position fills an existing appointment that expires in November 2022. A full term on the Chester Water Authority is five years.  

Following a review of all applications and a selection of follow-up interviews, the Chester County Commissioners will make an appointment recommendation for the Chester County Board position at a future Commissioners’ Sunshine Meeting.
