Join the Kennett Trails Alliance, Bike Kennett, and Trek Newark for a family-friendly bike fest and giveaway to celebrate outdoor recreation along the Greenway. We are hoping to give out about 50 free refurbished bicycles (both children and adult size) to community members on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees are encouraged to Bring Your Own Bicycle for free tune ups and minor repairs. We will accept donations of adult or youth bikes in good condition. The event will feature a self-guided ride from Pennock Park, down the Parrish Trail to the Chandler Mill Bridge along the path of the proposed Chandler Mill Greenway. Informational markers with QR codes will provide riders with more information about the planned Greenway and how they can get involved. Free water ice and ice cream after 9:30a while supplies last!
