Visitation

Detention


  • Parents, legal guardians, and custodians are permitted to visit unless directed otherwise by the court.
  • Proper identification in the form of a photo ID is required at each visit.
  • Siblings and other family members who are 18 and older require special authorization from the Casework Department to visit.
  • No one younger than 18 is permitted to visit. There are no exceptions.
  • Lawyers, probation officers, and CYF caseworkers may visit at any time.
  • Clergy and outside agencies will require special authorization from the Casework Department.
  • Detention visitors are not permitted to bring in food for detention residents. Vending machines are available; however, all food and drink must be consumed during the visit.

Shelter


  • Parents, siblings, grandparents, and legal guardians are permitted to visit unless directed otherwise by the court.
  • Proper identification in the form of a photo ID is required at each visit.
  • Lawyers, probation officers, and CYF caseworkers may visit at any time.
  • Clergy and outside agencies will require special authorization from the Casework Department.
  • Shelter visitors are permitted to bring in food for shelter residents. Vending machines are available; however, all food and drink must be consumed during the visit.
Visiting hours for Detention and Shelter may be arranged to meet the needs of the resident and their families’ work schedules and must be approved by our Casework Department.
