May 10 – Chester County Commissioners present a Proclamation for Mental Health Month

Chester County Commissioners will present a proclamation for Mental Health Awareness Month at the Board of Commissioners meeting on May 10th. Get details

 May 11 – I Can’t Catch My Breath – Trauma and LGBTQIA 

A virtual presentation by Chester County ACEs Coalition and the Chester County Hospital.

May 12 – Adult Mental Health First Aid Class at the Government Services Center

Hybrid course. Participants receive a national certification upon completion of the in-person portion of the course.

May 12 – Mental Health Awareness Community Walk

May 12 - 4:30PM at the Struble Trail, Downingtown. Parking available at Kardon Park, Kerr Park, and the local Downingtown Library. No registratoin required - all are welcome. Sponsored by the Chester County Intermediate Unit. 

May 16 – The Power of Support in the Community

An Introduction and overview of the National Alliance for Mental Illness in Chester County, sponsored by the Chester County Hospital.

May 18 – Resource Walk followed by Speaker Jordan Burnham of Minding your Mind - this is a hybrid event

May 19 – Youth Mental Health First Aid Class

May 20 – Mental Health Awareness Fair and Forum Sponsored by Rep Chrissy Houlihan at the Brandywine YMCA

10:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Brandywine YMCA, 295 Hurley Road, Coatesville. All are welcome.

May 22 – Trauma 101 - an interactive discussion about trauma and why it is important to our community that we share this understanding.

Week of May 22 The Historic Chester County Courthouse will be lit in green in support of Mental Health Awareness Month.


May 24 – Mental Health Lunch & Learn

A one-hour virtual presentation from Chester County’s Department of Mental Health. Basic information about mental health and local community resources, including updates on Chester County’s crisis response system and 988 Suicide Hotline.
