Who Can Ride

Seniors

Chesco Connect offers transit services to adults age 65 and older at a reduced rate. This program, the Senior Shared Ride Program, is funded by the Pennsylvania Lottery. The Chester County Office of Aging also funds this program to allow seniors to take trips for essential services at an additional discount.

Persons with Disabilities

If you are between the ages of 18 and 64, live in Chester County and have a disability according to the American’s with Disabilities Act (ADA), you may qualify for the Persons with Disabilities Program (PwD). This program, funded by PennDOT, enables persons with disabilities to ride at a reduced rate. If you live within a SEPTA service area, please register with SEPTA CCT.

Medical Assistance Recipients

Individuals with a current Medical Assistance card may be eligible for transit services to and from medical appointments. This program, known as the Medical Assistance Transportation Program (MATP), also funds trips to the nearest pharmacy to pick up prescriptions or medical-related equipment if Medical Assistance pays for those expenses.

To find out if you qualify for any of the discounted programs above, please visit PennDOT’s Find My Ride website or call 610-344-5545. Applications for these programs can be submitted through Find My Ride.

General Public

If you do not qualify for any of the programs above, you can still take trips on ChescoConnect. However, general public riders pay the full fare.
