Mission Statement
The goal of the Court Reporters Department is to stenographically record and efficiently produce verbatim transcripts of all trial testimony, legal arguments or other oral presentations during criminal and civil cases heard by Chester County Common Pleas Judges, Special Masters and Hearing Officers.
The Court of Common Pleas of Chester County employs 21 full-time experienced and highly motivated Official Court Reporters who invest in their personal computerized stenotype machines and computer-aided transcription equipment in order to timely prepare and certify accurate transcripts, upon request, which are necessary for litigants and their counsel to prepare for trial or complete the appeals process.
Several reporters on our staff also assist hearing-impaired individuals in the courtroom by providing testimony on a computer screen simultaneously as it’s recorded.
Goal
To provide a Court Reporter for all Municipal and Common Pleas court hearings.
Primary Objective
To be available whenever called upon to report court hearings in an expeditious and accurate manner. To provide transcripts and exhibits for any court proceedings upon request.
