Chuck Fields

After 42 years of service to the Department of Emergency Services, Chuck Fields, Dispatcher 125 is retiring.  His last shift was Thursday evening, June 4, 2020.

Chuck said, "I always wanted to be the Dispatcher that Fire Chiefs would want to have handle their 'working incidents.'  I'm proud to have served with this County for all those years and it's the people here that have made it what it is today."

Chuck's entire career with DES was a fire/EMS dispatcher, beginning in the Hazlett Building in West Chester Boro and transistioning to the Government Services Center in West Goshen Township.  He saw many changes - going from a 10 digit emergency number to 911; going for low band radio to 800 MHz system and everything in between.

Thanks Chuck for all you have done for DES and for emergency services in Chester County.  Best wishes for a long retirement !
