License to Carry Firearms ( LTCF) and Renewal Information During COVID-19

In accordance with Chester County, State and County Health Department guidelines implemented to reduce the spread of Covid-19, no one may enter the Chester County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) customer service desk without a mask.

The following public services will fully re-open effective May 18, 2020:

  • License to Carry Permits ( LTC)* By Appointment Only
License to Carry Permits expiring before June 30, 2020, will have priority.
LTC appointments are available 9:00 A.M.- 3:30 P.M. (M-F). Please call CCSO (610-344-6984) in advance for scheduling. Only the applicant will be admitted to the office. No more than (2) members of the public will be admitted at one time.

Suspended until further notice:
  • Passport Photos
  • Fingerprint Service.
  • Courthouse Tours /K-9 Demos
We are now accepting and processing all paperwork for service of civil process. Please note that our Deputies have resumed service of civil process generally, subject to other scheduling demands as they arise. We are also holding some paperwork for later service in accordance with local and/or state moratoriums or stays on certain writs and civil actions.

***As government reopens expect longer wait times for some services.
