Coronavirus COVID-19: What can you do to help?

Chester County and Delaware County have extensive volunteer programs and are always looking for new volunteers. If you are looking volunteer your time, please click on you appropriate county’s logo to sign up. If you are already a member of these organizations, be on the lookout for emails about upcoming volunteer opportunities!

Chester County encourages you to sign up for the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC). Please know this is an ongoing commitment, and you may not be needed for the COVID-19 response, but you will be trained and able to help in future responses.

Donate

Donations of supplies and money can go a long way in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.

Supply Donations

If you have supplies, such as gloves, masks, face shields, or hand sanitizer, that you would like to donate,

  • Get in touch with your local first responder (police, fire, and EMS) agencies and healthcare agencies to see if they need any supplies, if they do not then,
  • Contact your municipality’s Emergency Management Coordinator (EMC) Click here for a list of Municipal EMCs

Our local hospital systems are seeking donations of personal protective equipment and cleaning supplies to help support healthcare workers. Visit the websites below to see what your local hospital is seeking and contact that hospital or healthcare system’s advertised point of contact.



Monetary Donations

Check with your local foundations and community organizations to see if they are accepting donations for the COVID-19 response.

Blood Donations

There is a severe blood shortage, and the American Red Cross needs your help. The American Red Cross has safety measures in place for donors, volunteers, employees, and blood recipients. If you are a healthy individual and willing to donate blood, please visit www.redcrossblood.org.
