Frequently the Recorder of Deeds Office will receive requests from the public to draft deeds, determine if there are liens against their property, or determine if a piece of land has been subdivided. Unfortunately, our staff are not authorized to perform these activities, and in some instances would be committing a third degree misdemeanor if we did perform some of these services.
 
Instead, we can provide basic information on finding this type of information.
 
If you are trying to draft a deed or other document for recording and have the requisite authority to do so, please read the Recording Fees and Recording Guidelines sections of this site to ensure you are fulfilling the basic requirements for drafting and recording documents under Pennsylvania rules and regulations.
