The Law Enforcement Services Division of the Chester County Department of Emergency acts as an intermediary between the Chester County Law Enforcement Community, the Major Incident Response Team (MIRT), the Pennsylvania State Police, and other local, state and Federal law enforcement agencies. The Division serves as a resource at critical incidents and assists with the operations at major law enforcement and multi-discipline incidents.
It is responsible for the recommendation, development and evaluation of training programs, which facilitates cross training of law enforcement, fire, EMS and Haz-Mat in tactical skills. The Division also recommends, develops and evaluates specialized and basic law enforcement training courses.
The Law Enforcement Services Division provides representation to the development and operation of the Chester County Public Safety Training Campus by attending planning, informational and implementation meetings on behalf of the law enforcement community.
