Getting Early Intervention Services

The Early Intervention Service Coordination Unit is the first place to contact for information. All services for eligible children are provided at no charge to the family.

To get started, staff take basic information about the child and the developmental concerns or reason for referral. Next, a Service Coordinator will contact the family and schedule a home visit to get more information and explain the Early Intervention screening process. The Service Coordinator and family discuss how best to assess the child. Then the Coordinator schedules a developmental evaluation with a multi-disciplinary team. The Service Coordinator guides the family through the screening process and helps to arrange services if the child is eligible.
