Camping Rules

  • Camping is permitted during the weekend of opening day of trout and then re opens the first full weekend in May through the last weekend of October
  • Camping is available Friday and Saturday nights, and holiday nights.
  • Campsites are assigned in the order in which they are requested. Campers may switch sites ONLY with approval from the park office.
  • Overnight campsite occupancy is required during the entire period designated on the reservation. Failure to maintain overnight occupancy of the campsite shall be construed as an abandonment of the camping reservation. Camping equipment will be removed and the site will be considered a forfeiture. There are no refunds.
  • Campers must register by 8:00 PM and checkout by 3:00 PM. If staying for additional nights. 
  • Two camping units are permitted at each site, one unit must be a tent. Sleeping in personal vehicles is not permitted.
  • The maximum number of people per site is six. At least one responsible adult over the age of 18 must be included.
  • Two vehicles are permitted at each site. Extra vehicles must park in designated parking areas.
  • Campers are responsible to clean campsite and remove all litter. Trash can be placed in dumpsters located at the end of Campground Road.
  • Fires are permitted only in camp stoves or fire rings (provided). Fires must be attended at all times by an adult. Fires must be extinguished completely before leaving campsite. Bonfires are prohibited. A fire ban may be in effect during dry weather.
  • The Park does NOT provide firewood. Cutting of standing trees is strictly prohibited. Guests may scavenge dead and downed wood for burning in fire rings.
  • Guests must register at the park office. Guests are permitted during park hours ONLY.
  • Quiet hours are 10PM – 7AM. No loud music, talking etc. Generators cannot be operated during quiet hours.Please be respectful of other campers.
  • During the quite hours of 10PM – 7AM use of the park for campers is limited to the following areas ONLY:
    • campgrounds area
    • Chambers Lake area 
    • Restroom area 
  • One picnic table is provided for each site. Tables must not be moved.
  • Secure all valuables, including camping equipment. The Parks Department is not responsible for items lost while at the Park.
  • A sanitary dump station is available for campers. Please see park ranger.
  • The following are prohibited:
    • Alcoholic beverages
    • Dishwashing and/or bathing at water outlets, springs, or waterways
    • Discharging trailer sewage or sink water on the ground or into surface water
    • Driving nails/hardware into trees
    • Electric or water hook-ups
    • Chainsaws
Violation of any county rule or regulation or any misrepresentation by individuals using the areas and facilities for purposes other than that defined will warrant cancellation of permit, removal from the park, and /or legal action.
