In their role as the regional EMS council, the Field Services Division is responsible to perform quality improvement activities that monitor the delivery of EMS within the region. Partnering with the Chester County EMS Council, Inc. (the agency that serves as our advisory body for EMS matters), the Field Services Division has developed a Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Plan. The Plan outlines the process for and parameters to be evaluated.
The Plan provides for the review of both clinical and operational criteria, and allows flexibility to review additional topics as trends develop. The EMS Council's CQI Committee is comprised of EMS system stakeholders who have an interest in ensuring that our EMS system performs at a desired level.
