Purple Martins Open House

Have you seen little purple birds near multi-compartment bird houses or hanging gourds? The purple martins are beneficial migratory songbirds that need more local housing to sustain their declining population. The Friends of Springton have purchased a house for the park, and welcome the Purple Martin Conservation Association to educate guests on identifying, attracting and managing these fantastic purple martin colonies.
