Disability Rights Network of Pennsylvania (DRN) is a statewide, non-profit corporation designated as the organization to advance and protect the civil rights of adults and children with disabilities. DRN works with people with disabilities, families, organizations, and advocates ensuring that people with disabilities can live in their communities free of discrimination, abuse and neglect.

Paying for Senior Care

The PayingForSeniorCare website and the Eldercare Financial Resource Locator Tool were created and are maintained by the American Elder Care Research Organization. The organization’s mission is to assist individuals in the planning and implementing of long-term senior care. The website is designed to help families and caregivers locate information about long-term care resources for their loved ones, and to find the public and private programs available to assist in covering the cost of such care.

Prescription Drug Programs

Chester County Prescription Discount Card

Chester County is pleased to offer a prescription drug discount card that can be used by Chester County residents to help cope with the high price of prescription drugs. This program, sponsored by the National Association of Counties (NACo), offers average savings of 22% of the retail price of commonly prescribed drugs. There is no cost to Chester County taxpayers for this program.


PACE and PACENET offer comprehensive prescription coverage to older Pennsylvanians and covers most prescription medications, including insulin, syringes and insulin needles. These programs do not cover over-the-counter medicines, medical equipment or doctor, hospital, dental or vision services. There is no application fee to enroll in the program.

Medicare Part D - Prescription Drug Coverage

Medicare Part D is the name of the prescription drug benefit program being offered to all Medicare beneficiaries. It is a federal, not state, program. The program began January 1, 2006.
