What's new with the Agricultural Land Preservation Board (ALPB)
The Chester County ALPB partners with landowners, nonprofit organizations, municipalities, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and the U.S. Agricultural Conservation Easement Program to permanently preserve farmland in Chester County.
Applications to sell agricultural conservation easements must be submitted to the County’s Department of Open Space Preservation (DOSP) by August 1, 2016. Applications are available on this web site under the left navigation bar titled “Program Requirements and Applications”. Personal assistance is available by calling Geoff Shellington, the DOSP's Agricultural Programs Coordinator. High quality projects that stretch limited County funds the most will receive priority consideration.
